Vice President of Sustainability
As VP of sustainability, John is responsible for all aspects of Resource Energy’s sustainability service offerings. His objective is to assure that the Company provides the highest quality of professionalism of any organization in the sustainability services industry, and that the Company continually sets new industry-leading standards for developing and implementing solutions to its customers’ needs and goals. John brings a broad knowledge of real estate operations to this role, as he has deep experience in asset and portfolio management across multiple types of commercial real estate as well as vast analytical experience with Fortune 500 firms. He holds a certification as a Sustainability Professional from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and previously served as Director of Operations for Resource Energy’s west coast office.
Prior to his current role, John was responsible for overseeing a $465 million portfolio of office properties for a Sacramento-based investment fund. His prior real estate experience includes a long tenure managing retail properties for The Westfield Group, one the largest shopping center owners in the world. At The Westfield Group, John’s roles included serving as Director of Leasing Finance, Manager of Strategy and Market Research, Senior Financial Analyst for Center Management, and Assistant General Manager. John’s experience both at the property and corporate management level at The Westfield Group will prove invaluable, as he has a unique understanding of the overriding concerns of stakeholders on the operations and financial levels of commercial real estate owners. John’s additional experience includes analytics and corporate strategy roles at Caesars Entertainment, Walgreen Co. and Oak Brook Bank.
John is a graduate of Yale University and the Anderson School of Business at UCLA, where he graduated with a Master of Business Administration.
